Director, Global Tax, International Segment

What You’ll Do
The Director, Global Tax, International Segment, is a newly created role that will serve as the HQ partner and primary resource for the non-U.S. Tax teams. As the Director, you will report to the Senior Director, Head of Global Tax Controversy, and partner with in-country Tax Leadership and local markets to offer technical support, ensure appropriate allocation of global tax resources, drive best practices, and support tax governance across the markets. This new leadership role is a unique opportunity to co-shape an important function, develop commercially, and work / think globally. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with non-U.S. markets and their team members to optimize tax opportunities, contribute to achieving team goals, and assist in making well-informed decisions in complex situations.
- Support the enhancement of the global governance framework, ensuring tax positions are thoroughly vetted and documented with the utmost integrity in reporting
- Ensure the company’s tax positions are properly included on tax returns and provisions with effective documentation to sustain positions upon audit
- Collaborate with other Tax Subject Matter Experts in the HQ Tax Team to ensure U.S. tax, compliance, and reporting obligations are met
- Monitor global tax developments to ensure the company remains up to date on tax positions and structure
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; MBA, Master’s in Accountancy or Tax, or JD with LL.M preferred
- 10+ years of diverse income tax experience, ideally in international tax and / or M&A.
- Strong understanding of international tax concepts and their application
- 3+ years of supervisory experience (you’ll manage a team of 2)
- Ability to lead in a highly collaborative, multi-teaming environment with the adaptiveness and willingness to partner across multiple functions globally
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to issue spot and work with ambiguity to provide guidance to executive leadership and facilitate decision-making on novel issues
