Associate Tax Director, US Federal Compliance and Reporting

What You’ll Do

As the Associate Director, US Federal Compliance and Reporting, you will build a world class process for the company’s US Federal income tax return filings and related income tax accounting for US GAAP. You will report to the Director, Global Tax Accounting & U.S. Compliance and manage, develop, and optimize a direct staff of 5. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the preparation of and review of the US Federal income tax returns (1120, 1065, etc.)
  • Lead the quarterly estimate Federal income tax calculations, payments, etc.
  • Lead the US federal income tax accounting under ASC 740
  • Monitor ongoing US legislative changes and lead the evaluation of the impact on the company’s US federal income tax liability
  • Identify opportunities to drive compliance process improvements, including automation to ensure greater accuracy
  • Identify opportunities through the compliance process for cash and/or ETR tax savings

 

What You’ll Need

  • 8-12+ years of experience with corporate US federal income tax
  • Strong ASC 740 US GAAP tax accounting knowledge and skills
  • Proven experience with process improvement and automation, managing large scale compliance projects and managing a team
  • CPA and systems experience with Hyperion, CORE, SAP, JDE, CORPTAX (U.S. compliance) preferred
  • Proven track record in people management and development
  • Strong leadership capabilities with executive communication skills, the ability to drive change, a balanced strategic and tactical orientation, and well-developed project management skills
